Inovance TRAIDE – Real-Time Trading Strategy Platform
Inovance set out to build TRAIDE, a fintech platform that empowered traders to create, customize, and backtest strategies in real time. The original front end suffered from performance bottlenecks that limited adoption, and the system needed to scale while providing a seamless, responsive user experience.
Bryan joined as a full-stack developer, leading a front-end rebuild that eliminated multi-second delays when processing live market data. By redesigning the Angular interface and implementing a modular event-handling system, he enabled near-instant algorithm updates and a smoother trading workflow.
On the back end, Bryan extended the Java Spring services with MongoDB and Node.js APIs to persist user strategies. He also developed a rule engine–based market simulator with a dialect translator that added a key innovation: strategies could be exported as MetaTrader 4 Expert Advisors, enabling live trading directly from TRAIDE. The same translator could also convert strategies into plain English, giving traders a clear, human-readable explanation of the rules driving their algorithms.
The system was deployed on AWS and DigitalOcean, with an architecture designed for scalability and fault tolerance, laying the groundwork for future expansion into brokerless trading.
Outcome: a faster, more intuitive trading platform that bridged algorithm design, live execution, and trader understanding.
