Retavo (Assistt) – White-Label Marketplace Platform
Retavo, a Techstars-backed startup, evolved from a two-sided marketplace connecting service providers with customers into a comprehensive white-label platform that other businesses could use to launch their own marketplaces.
As a founding team member, Bryan led the technical transformation from a single-tenant application to a scalable multi-tenant platform. The system was built using Angular for the frontend, NestJS for the API layer, .NET for core services, and Flutter for mobile applications, all backed by PostgreSQL.
The platform enabled rapid client onboarding with customizable branding, configurable workflows, and integrated payment processing. The architecture supported multiple marketplace models including service marketplaces, product marketplaces, and hybrid platforms.
Outcome: A scalable white-label marketplace engine that enabled other businesses to launch their own marketplaces quickly, positioning Retavo as a platform-as-a-service provider in the marketplace space.
